Venice is a seaport in the area of the northeast Italy. Venice is floating on 120 islands and it is surrounded with 177 canals. Because of it historical role, Venice is well know as Queen of the Adriatic. The island, on which the city was built, is connected with more than 400 bridges. The big canal, which is long more than 3km, is flowing through city and makes it separated in two equal parts. Vehicles are not permitted at narrow and winding paths. Back in the days, gondola was the only transportation that people were using. It is still very popular, but more like an attraction for visitors. The ride with gondola is 120 but 4 or 5 people could fit in one and that way it wouldn't be so expensive.
Image Detail One of the sights that visitors should see is St. Mark's Square. The Square is full of pigeons and it is significant that they wouldn't move even when people are around.
Image DetailThe only lack of this beautiful place is English language. Italian people are struggling with foreign languages, so it is very hard to make a conversation with them, but that shouldn't affect anybody, because the beauties of the city  make people speechless.
