People used to call Thasos "Emeral Island" because of its clean and transparent turquoise water. Limenas is the capital city of Thasos and the only access to the city is by ferryboat. The center of the island is untouched, and the mountain area with villages all around didn't change over the time. 

Many visitors arrive annually to visit those monuments, contributing a large part towards the economy of the city. The city became important as early as 11th Dynasty, when the town grew into a thriving city, renowned for its high social status and luxury, but also as a center for wisdom, art and religios supremacy. The statues in the museum are great and no words could describe them. People just have to go there and see the sights of beautiful Luxor.

One of the greater creatures of this city is White Nights or Bele Noci, which means that during the midsummer days the nights are actually a day. It never turns dark. People were saying that during those days, they could dry their hair on the sun at 3a.m in the morning. 



One of the sights that visitors should see is St. Mark's Square. The Square is full of pigeons and it is significant that they wouldn't move even when people are around.
The only lack of this beautiful place is English language. Italian people are struggling with foreign languages, so it is very hard to make a conversation with them, but that shouldn't affect anybody, because the beauties of the city make people speechless.

There is a legend about this National Park. They used to call this place "Evil Place" because of its history. This was a desert long time ago, and people were desperate for the rain. They were praying every day for rain and "Black Queen" came and brought a rain storm with her. It was raining until the rain formed the lakes.
